Her Story
Opera, Europe, and the long way home to the islands.
Before there were clothes, there was a voice.
Isabella Voldman spent her first life on the opera stage in New York. Every singer learns there that the most moving moment of an aria is not the high note but the breath before it - the instant of stillness in which everything is about to happen.
She found that breath again in Europe. Travelling from city to city, she fell for the Old World way of dressing: a linen shirt worn soft by many summers, a silk that seemed to move a moment after its wearer, a hem finished by hand where only the woman inside it would ever know.
What began as a search for the perfect fabric became a journey across continents - to the flax fields of Flanders, the silk houses of Como, the high pastures of Peru - and, at last, home to the islands, where the house of ISABELLA V. began.

The house today
Resort ease, city grace
Today ISABELLA V. makes timeless European linen and Como silk for women who move between worlds - from a city morning to a barefoot evening by the sea - without changing who they are. Each piece is designed for elegance, versatility and longevity, and grows more beautiful with every wear.
Two words guide everything we make: simplicity and affection. Simplicity, so that nothing stands between the cloth and the woman wearing it. Affection, because the best clothes are the ones we keep for years and remember long after.
With every collection come new textures and new silhouettes, and the same quiet promise: wonder, freedom, and a little sophistication, wherever you happen to be.
